Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of ByteDance's Multi-Cloud CDN platform, including control-plane systems like domain management, content management, scheduling systems and AIOPs
- Help construct an intelligent scheduling system to optimize ByteDance's global traffic management based on business scenarios, resource levels, cost control, service quality, and transmission protocols
- Assist in building unified, scalable, and observable platform capabilities to support performance, cost, stability, and compliance
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java, C++) in a Linux development environment
- Strong fundamentals in computer science, including networking, distributed systems, or backend platform design
- Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and cloud-native software development
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
- Prior experience or coursework related to CDN, edge computing, or large-scale infrastructure
- Familiarity with network protocols, message queues, monitoring systems, or traffic scheduling strategies
- Enthusiasm for building backend systems that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability
