Job Summary
As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients and customers receive exceptional service. Working remotely, you will be responsible for handling patient inquiries, resolving third-party issues, and performing data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Walgreens' data entry procedures and guidelines to process new patient enrollments by entering information into the appropriate system.
- Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
- Research to obtain missing prescription information and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
- Manage correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and make outbound calls to resolve issues.
- Resolve Third-Party Rejects by evaluating, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Provide support to Pharmacists, both in-office and at other locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
- Obtain and maintain a current professional license or certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Basic level computer skills, including the ability to start up and shut down a PC, use a mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, and print reports or access data online.
- Essential web browsing skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a webpage, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
- Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- At least one year of pharmacy professional experience in a retail or call center environment.
- A minimum of one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/enrollment by the state as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy or a widely recognized certification agency.
- Experience providing customer support to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Moderate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
