The Opportunity

As an ACT/SAT Math/Science Prep Tutor at Huntington Learning Center Chattanooga, you will have the opportunity to work with high school students in a one-to-one setting, helping them prepare for the ACT/SAT exams. You will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to ensure that our students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with high school students in a one-to-one setting to prepare them for ACT/SAT exams
• Provide personalized instruction and support to help students improve their Math and Science skills
• Develop a deep understanding of each student's strengths and weaknesses to create an effective learning plan
• Utilize Huntington's proven instructional materials and methods to deliver high-quality instruction
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Communicate regularly with students and parents to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong academic background in Math and/or Science, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a caring and qualified professional who is committed to helping students achieve academic success.

• Essential Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree in a relevant field (Math, Science, Education, or related field)
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a test preparation setting
  • Strong knowledge of ACT/SAT exam format and content
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching certification or license
  • Experience working with high school students
  • Knowledge of Huntington's instructional programs and methods
