Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Maintenance Technician with Workwarp, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful as a Maintenance Technician with Workwarp, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, with above-average mechanical ability
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
- Troubleshooting: Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose all electrical problems
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Independence: Ability to work independently, exhibit the ability to solve problems without assistance
- Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related field
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as electrical or mechanical certifications
