About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician Senior Representative to join our team on a full-time remote basis. As a Senior Representative, you'll play a vital role in assisting customers in obtaining prescribed medications by working closely with our clinical pharmacy team, physicians, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Key Responsibilities
- Call manufacturers to obtain status updates and order refills, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patient applications.
- Proactively reach out to patients to gather required information for the application process, utilizing this information to complete and submit applications.
- Keep patients informed about the status of their applications, providing updates and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate records by updating our tracking system and ensuring that all relevant information is up-to-date.
- Respond to inquiries from patients and pharmacists, providing clear and concise information to address their questions and concerns.
- Utilize our company systems to update and complete patient applications, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately captured.
- Continuously review and refine our processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
- Handle complex customer inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a high level of service and maximizing productivity.
- Manage customer correspondence, complaints, and inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
- Perform general project management tasks, including tracking issues and timelines, researching and resolving complex issues, and compiling required documentation.
- Support internal business partners by responding to requests, questions, and referrals in a timely and effective manner.
- Empower patients with the knowledge and understanding they need to successfully navigate the application submission process.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in a retail pharmacy, PBM, or Health Plan setting is strongly preferred.
- A current license as a Pharmacy Technician is required (CPhT certification is preferred).
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and processes, including medication concepts and pronunciations, is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe applications is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as a self-motivator.
- Previous customer service experience is required, with effective written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Additional certifications, such as CPhT, or specialized training in pharmacy operations.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
