As a remote Pharmacy Technician I, you will be the frontline representative of our National Customer Care Center, providing critical support to a diverse portfolio of customers, including members, pharmacies, and prescribers.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Handle inbound telephone inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
- Pharmacy Support: Provide real-time assistance to pharmacies with point of service inquiries, enhancing their ability to serve their customers.
- Educational Support: Educate prescribers on formulary and prior authorization processes, facilitating smoother healthcare delivery.
- Data Management: Accurately enter customer data and other relevant information into our documentation tool, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Member Assistance: Assist members with pharmacy benefit inquiries, providing clear and concise information to address their needs.
- Operational Excellence: Adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure contact handling accuracy and operational effectiveness, continuously improving our customer care processes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to customers and internal staff, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of recent experience in a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) and/or pharmacy setting, with a deep understanding of pharmacy operations and customer service principles.
- High School Diploma or GED, serving as a foundational element for further professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, indicating a higher level of education or a commensurate level of professional experience.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, NCCT, or ExCPT), demonstrating specialized knowledge and a commitment to the profession.
