Job Overview: Commercial Lines Rater
We have exciting opportunities available for Commercial Lines Raters to work with our Property & Casualty insurance carrier clients. As a Commercial Lines Rater, you will play a critical role in supporting our underwriting team, performing a range of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing required support functions for Underwriting, such as ordering MVRs, inspections, and reviews, financial reports, calculating building cost estimates, and other similar tasks as requested
- Clearing new business submissions, entering new business submission information, and processing Broker of Record requests
- Processing new business and renewal-related transactions in a timely manner, including quoting, rating, pricing revisions, policy issuance, endorsements, premium audits, cancellations, and reinstatements for multiple commercial lines of business
- Collaborating with underwriters and other functional areas to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy and completeness of a quality product
- Delivering exceptional customer service and supporting our clients with their insurance needs
Requirements for Success
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:
- 25 years of full-time work experience
- 10 years of recent experience in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance carrier experience
- A strong understanding of insurance principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- A strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in your work
