Job Description The Role The Logistics Operations Solutions Analyst is part of the GMNA Operational Solutions team, a collaborative group focused on driving operational excellence, cost discipline, and launch readiness across GM manufacturing plants. The team partners daily with Planning, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and Plant Operations to translate strategy into execution. Team members are expected to be data‑driven, action‑oriented, and comfortable working through ambiguity. What You'll Do The Senior Logistics Analyst position is responsible for leading operational improvement initiatives. This position requires an in depth understanding Logistics, Finance, and Operations. The position will work cross functionally with Plant Office Managers, Material Directors, Supply Chain, Future Costing, Purchasing, Finance, and logistics suppliers. Specific responsibilities include: Identify and implement network wide solutions to improve inbound logistics network performance targeting people, processes, and systems Develop, track, and share KPIs related to areas of support and create & drive strategy in focus areas Lead OpEx projects to root cause and implement network improvements Report opportunities and implemented savings / improvements within network that drive out waste and inconsistency to leadership Develop and distribute reporting and visibility tools to assist Analysts in cost savings and network optimization improvement opportunities Work with analysts on plant or platform specific opportunities and share best practices/read across opportunities Lead and coordinate with other departments, suppliers, and plants to implement cost savings/cost control / efficiency initiatives. Develop and maintain strong operational relationships with plants, supply chain, LMS, manufacturing, and logistics suppliers Support management reporting and ad-hoc analysis requests Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) 5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, manufacturing, logistics or product development Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience Core & Technical Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data, identify cost drivers, and translate insights into actions. Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, and Access; experience building dashboards and executive‑level summaries. Working knowledge of inbound logistics processes, transportation cost structures, and KPI‑driven performance management. Execution & Project Management Ability to lead structured problem‑solving efforts and manage multiple initiatives concurrently across varied timelines and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in governance, documentation, and follow‑through. Comfort operating in fast‑paced, launch‑driven environments with shifting priorities. Collaboration & Communication Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information concisely to leadership. Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence outcomes without direct authority. Strong stakeholder management skills across internal GM teams and external logistics partners.
