Title: Product & Platform Development Intern – Procurement Marketplace
Company: ReadyToHire
Location: Remote (North America time zones), Austin preferred
Type: Internship (part‑time), paid via partner program
Role overview
As a Product & Platform Development Intern, you will work at the intersection of product, tech, and procurement. Youll help translate real‑world procurement workflows into screens, data models, and simple tools that will become the ReadyToHire platform for EPC and industrial procurement. Youll collaborate with the founder, senior procurement specialists, and other interns.
Responsibilities
- Work with the founder and procurement team to map end‑to‑end workflows: supplier onboarding, RFQ creation, bid comparison, approval, and listing products for EPC buyers.
- Help define data structures for suppliers, products, bundles, RFQs, and orders (fields, statuses, relationships) that a developer can implement.
- Draft simple screen/UX briefs: page names, key fields, buttons, basic user flows that describe how EPC buyers, suppliers, and independents will interact with the platform.
- Assist in documenting requirements for vendor onboarding, category filters, and catalog search, based on feedback from senior procurement and EPC conversations.
- Support light no‑code/low‑code prototypes (e.g., in tools like Airtable, Notion, or similar) to test workflows before full development.
- Work with other interns to keep product documentation organized and up‑to‑date (requirements, user stories, edge‑cases, future ideas).
Requirements
- Student or recent graduate in product management, software engineering, industrial engineering, information systems, or related field.
- Strong interest in B2B platforms/marketplaces, procurement, and construction/EPC/industrial projects.
- Ability to think in processes and data models; comfortable turning messy conversations into clear diagrams, lists, or specs.
- Familiarity with basic UX or product documentation (wireframes, user stories, acceptance criteria) is a plus.
- Comfortable collaborating with non‑technical stakeholders (procurement experts, founder) and asking clarifying questions.
- Based in North America time zones; Austin area is a plus but not required.
Compensation
- Internship funded via a partner program; competitive hourly stipend (for example, 18–25 USD/hour, depending on program rules and your profile). Contact us for more information at adminatreadytohireengineers.com
