Position Overview
The Part‑Time Radiologic Technologist – Orthopedic Imaging Specialist will work within Asante Physician Partners’ outpatient clinic in Grants Pass, OR, under the supervision of a physician. In this role you will perform a variety of radiologic examinations, ensuring accurate imaging that guides patient diagnosis and treatment. You will also contribute to the broader patient experience by assisting with front‑office responsibilities, supporting scheduling, and maintaining meticulous records.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Conduct orthopedic and general radiologic examinations following Asante policies, industry standards, and state regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Evaluate film quality, technique, positioning, and protocol compliance; make real‑time adjustments to achieve optimal diagnostic images.
- Report Management: Track, receive, and file radiology exam reports from consulting radiologists; ensure treating physicians review and act on findings promptly.
- Patient Preparation & Care: Prepare exam rooms, set up equipment, and guide patients through procedures while maintaining comfort, safety, and privacy.
- Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to coordinate care, answer procedural questions, and support treatment planning.

- Technology Utilization: Enter ancillary service orders and use Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) systems to document imaging studies accurately.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain thorough, organized charts, including test results, medical history, and imaging logs, consistent with clinic protocols.
- Education & Advocacy: Provide patients with clear explanations of procedures, safety precautions, and post‑exam instructions, tailoring communication to all age groups.

Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating effective communication and basic academic proficiency.
- Successful completion of an accredited radiology technology program.
- Current licensure in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) or a reciprocal license accompanied by Radiography (R) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency with digital imaging equipment, PACS, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage compassionately with patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced outpatient environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
- Experience in orthopedic or musculoskeletal imaging, including specialized positioning techniques for extremities and joints.
- Previous exposure to front‑office duties such as scheduling, billing, or medical records management.
- Familiarity with CPOE workflow, order entry, and ancillary service documentation.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or other advanced emergency response training.
- Demonstrated ability to train or mentor new technologists or student interns.
