Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Labor & Employment Law consultant to provide advisory support on workforce-related questions involving U.S.-based onsite staff, offshore resources, W2 employees, and 1099 contractors.
This is a consulting role focused on answering questions, clarifying risks, and providing practical guidance, not drafting lengthy legal documents or litigation work.
Scope of Support
•W2 vs 1099 classification guidance
• Onsite (U.S.) vs offshore labor considerations
• Employment law compliance and risk clarification
• Contractor agreements and workforce structure questions
• Practical advice on day-to-day employment scenarios
Ideal Consultant
• Strong background in U.S. Labor & Employment Law
• Experience advising on mixed workforce models (employees + contractors + offshore)
• Ability to explain legal concepts clearly and practically
• U.S.-based attorney or senior legal consultant preferred
Engagement
• Ad-hoc consulting (as needed)
• Remote with occasional U.S. time-zone availability
• Hourly engagement
