Role Description
The Sr. M&A Strategy Analyst will have oversight of the merger and acquisition (M&A) analyst team.
• Provides oversight of the financial modeling and approvals of M&A targets as well as divestitures and other special modeling projects.
• Manage and/or lead M&A due diligence activities.
• Oversight / analytical role to assist with modeling and financial analysis of impending and ongoing transactions as well as other special modeling projects.
• Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.
• Develop operating models that are highly flexible to maneuver through multiple scenarios for enabling necessary and abrupt changes on a real-time basis.
• Coach, mentor, and develop analysts including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
• Empower analysts to take responsibility for their work product, delegate responsibility, and expect accountability and regular feedback.
• Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict resolution, and appreciation of diversity.
• Participate in due diligence and lead analyst development of the process with focus on key cross-functional support needs such as collecting target data and assessing data needs based on initial document reviews.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years of financial modeling experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with staff development - ability to lead and develop a team of financial analysts.
• Acquisition due diligence experience and ability to understand complex issues and work to develop solutions.
