About the Role
The Personal Lines Insurance Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in the development and evolution of our best-in-class servicing department. As a key team member, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional support to our clients, addressing complex customer service issues, and driving business growth through proactive problem-solving and creative thinking.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you can expect to:
- Assist existing and potential agency clients across a wide range of servicing needs via phone, email, and SMS, providing prompt and friendly support.
- Interpret and analyze insurance policies, cancellations, reinstatements, endorsements, reports, and other insurance-related documents to make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the best possible resolutions and highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Navigate multiple insurer products and agent portals, including those from prominent insurers, to efficiently and effectively service clients.
- Utilize complex, evolving software, such as our CRM and in-house comp rater, to streamline processes and enhance customer experiences.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Industry Experience: 2-3 years of P&C Insurance experience, with an active Property and Casualty or Personal Lines license.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proactive and Self-Sufficient: A proven track record of personal initiative, efficiency, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and performing quality work within deadlines, with or without supervision.
- Hyper-Comfort with Ambiguity: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, quickly adapting to process and system updates.
- Natural Problem Solver: A talent for identifying opportunities in complex problems and proposing creative solutions.
- Superior Computer Fluency: The ability to learn new systems quickly and navigate multiple carrier portals simultaneously.
