About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Bank Teller to join our Consumer, Small & Business Banking division in Spanish Fork, Utah. As a Teller, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and making appropriate introductions to bankers. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing financial services to the local community, helping residents, employees, and businesses achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customer engagement by processing teller transactions, sharing digital solutions, and making introductions to bankers
- Complete operational activities while minimizing risks under established policies and procedures
- Perform routine transactional, operational, and customer support tasks efficiently through knowledge of bank procedures and products
- Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures
- Escalate questions and issues to more experienced roles
- Interact with customers and individuals to demonstrate care, build relationships, and complete requested transactions
- Identify information and services to meet customers' financial needs
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1+ year of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- 1+ year of experience interacting with people, demonstrated through work, military, or education
- Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems
- Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and share the value of mobile banking options
- Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
