Key Responsibilities and Duties
As a Google Cloud Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Determine business and technical requirements, lead full technical discovery, and design customer solutions to meet assembled requirements
- Lead technical projects, technology support, bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources
- Deliver product messaging for the Google Cloud Platform by using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents
- Drive recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application frameworks to implement a complete solution, providing best practice advice to clients to enhance Google Cloud platform effectiveness
- Attend client sites, meetings, and other events as required
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role
- Experience with legacy and modern application development, cloud service delivery, and networking
- Experience with containers, including Kubernetes and other related technologies
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
Preferred Qualifications and Requirements
While not essential, the following qualifications and requirements are preferred:
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Experience developing mobile structures using API management, microservice architectures, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other relevant platforms
- Experience working with Government Public Sector clients, including defense and civilian agencies
- Knowledge of application security designs, including web application security, service mesh, and mobile security techniques
- Ability to learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, philosophies, and solutions in the Google Cloud/IT technology space
