Job Summary
The Strategy & Analytics Consultant will be responsible for providing research and assessment of trends, supporting the development of new strategies, and leveraging analytical and technical skills to drive business outcomes. This is a hybrid role that will work remotely from home, with some flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and engage in face-to-face interactions at our Corporate Campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide research and assessment of trends, supporting the development of new strategies, tools, and reports
- Leverage analytical and technical skills, and industry/operational data to influence the team in solving business problems
- Transform raw data into understandable, presentable, and actionable findings
- Develop and improve models and strategies, including supporting their implementation
- Facilitate and share technical guidance on ideas and topics to organizations across the company
- Conduct assessments using optimization and other available tools to create and examine conditions providing insights into how different areas perform
- Utilize appropriate data management tactics, including privacy standards
- Perform additional duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Advanced level experience in Network Planning or Airline Operations, Data collection, data analysis, and presentation
- Expertise in SQL (Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL)
- Highly skilled in attention to detail
- Skilled in taking initiative, demonstrating ownership and accountability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to teach data, tools, techniques, and industry data to junior organization members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Alteryx or other data manipulation software
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software
- Proven experience in presenting to Senior Leaders
- Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills
Skills and Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Southwest Airlines operations
- Knowledge of SQL (Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL)
- Highly skilled in attention to detail
- Skilled in taking initiative, demonstrating ownership and accountability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to teach data, tools, techniques, and industry data to junior organization members
- Ability to interpret data, draw implications, and adjust the assessment process as required
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to all audiences, verbally and in writing
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to large audiences, including senior leadership
