About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst and Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a remote worker, you will be responsible for determining and reporting merchant discount income, driving normalization and process improvement, and performing ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights. Key Responsibilities
- Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change.
- Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region.
- Drive normalization and process improvement among the different regional pricing groups for all reporting and forecasting related activities.
- Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing groups that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles.
- A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in finance/Accounting/Business.
- High proficiency with Excel is required.
- Solid attention to detail and organization.
- Solid analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
