Our Security and Legal Information Design team crafts adaptable data management and extraction structures that enable us to maintain the highest standards of information protection and cleanliness in the industry. We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build robust, flexible, and privacy-driven data structures. As part of this group, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, versatile, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design top-notch data structures that enable proper handling of user personal data.
**About the Role**
As a Data Engineer (L4) - Privacy, you'll be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective, flexible, and adaptable data pipelines to manage structured and unstructured data
- Develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a privacy-focused perspective
- Collaborate with the privacy design teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to user and regulatory data requests
- Maintain and re-evaluate existing datasets and pipelines
- Join a talented team of data engineers who enhance our data protection and mitigate legal and regulatory risk
**What We're Looking For**
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about consumer-driven data protection and risk alleviation for the business. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience
- Strong understanding of advanced SQL
- Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets
- Ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines
- Strong passion for showcasing excellence, learning new technologies, and growing your career
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices
