**The Data Engineering Team**
Our Data Engineering team is responsible for designing and developing data pipelines that support our business operations. We work closely with our data science colleagues to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business value. As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from data warehousing and ETL/ELT pipeline development to data visualization and machine learning.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Designing and developing cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
* Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to support our business operations
* Collaborating with data science colleagues to develop and deploy data-driven solutions
* Developing and maintaining data visualization tools and dashboards to support business decision making
* Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
* Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and science
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL pipeline development and support
* Strong experience with Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Experience with containerization using Docker
* Experience with source control systems such as GitLab or GitHub
* Strong understanding of data modeling and database design
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
* Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
* Experience with automated workflow schedulers
* Experience with data visualization tools and dashboards
