Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a remote worker based in Florida, you will provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
- Assist patients with translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
- Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
- Utilize superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners, ensuring timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations
- Demonstrate compassionate and genuine care for patients and customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, with skills and aptitude in typing and data entry
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
