Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner. Key Responsibilities
- Model and convey a clear and excellent customer experience, greeting customers and offering assistance with products and services
- Register sales on assigned sales register, provide customers with respectful, fair, and courteous checkout service
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering help with products and services, and resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Model and share customer service best practices with all colleagues to deliver a particular and superb customer experience, including relational habits (e.g., welcoming, eye-to-eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service characteristics (e.g., offering assistance proactively, recognizing needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.)
- Furnish customers with courteous, friendly, prompt, and efficient assistance
- Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade-up and/or companion items
- Register customer purchases on assigned sales register, collect cash and dispense change as needed; process voids, returns, postponements, discounts, and trades as necessary
- Maintain counters and sales floor clean and well-merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
- Check in and price stock as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
- Implement Company asset protection strategies to identify and minimize profit loss
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances (e.g., liquor and tobacco products)
- Build and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super designs, and sale stock; complete resets and revisions as directed
- Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement according to policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, banner print and creative machine, and sale of special photo items
- Take on web pick obligations (screens orders in Picture Care Plus, handles orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store)
- Assist with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring a clean, sleek, methodical store environment and appearance
- Follow all Company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with colleagues
- Complete special tasks and other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
- Prefer previous work experience with Walgreens
- Prefer ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico)
