About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Breakfast Entry Level Cook to join our team at Watertable, our signature restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, including breakfast items, sandwiches, and salads.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in menu planning and development, suggesting new ideas and dishes to enhance our culinary offerings.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, including front-of-house staff, to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated and experienced cook who possesses the following qualifications:
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
- 2 years of previous line experience, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Able to perform all basic cooking skills, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Able to work single station in the kitchen, with minimal supervision.
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight.
- California Food Handlers Certification required.
