Responsibilities Job Summary: As the Business Development Director for Genomics, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our genomics-related offerings in the North America. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies and plans tailored to the unique needs and opportunities in the field within these regions. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to provide cutting-edge solutions to fertility specialists and patients.   Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Key Responsibilities: - Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies and plans in alignment with the company's overarching goals and objectives. This includes identifying key growth areas, evaluating market trends, and assessing potential risks and opportunities. - New Business: Take the lead in identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities, partnerships, and clients. This involves proactively identifying prospects, crafting compelling pitches, engaging in negotiation, and overseeing the contract finalization process. - Revenue Growth: Formulate and execute strategies designed to drive revenue growth. This includes identifying upsell opportunities within the existing client base and expanding the company's client portfolio through effective lead generation and conversion tactics. - Client Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients. Continuously assess client needs and expectations, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and acting as a trusted advisor to address their evolving requirements. - Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to gain a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes. Use this information to make data-driven decisions, shape product or service offerings, and anticipate market shifts. - Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets related to business development activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation. Monitor expenditures, track ROI, and implement cost-control measures as needed. - Reporting: Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to track and analyze key performance metrics, sales forecasts, and business development activities. Present these findings to senior management to inform strategic decision-making. - Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure that business development efforts align with broader company strategies. Foster a culture of collaboration and alignment to drive success. - Exploring Managed Care Relationships: Actively developed and nurtured strategic relationships with managed care providers to enhance contract negotiations and facilitate mutually beneficial agreements.     Travel:  - Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time. Qualifications Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   - Fluent in English and Spanish (a plus) - Proven experience (3 years) in business development or sales, with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets in the healthcare or biotechnology sectors (preferably IVF sector). - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships, especially within the fertility and genomics field. - Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making. - Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools. - Understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks and compliance.   Experience: - Proven experience (3 years) in business development or direct sales, with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets in the healthcare or biotechnology sectors.   Education: - Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree/MBA (preferred) in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field     As an employee of CooperSurgical, you'll receive an outstanding total compensation plan. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
