CFC is a specialist insurance provider and a market leader in cyber insurance. They are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support their Transaction Liability team by providing administrative support, managing submissions, and ensuring timely progression of transactions.
Responsibilities
- Providing excellent administrative support primarily to the transaction liability team and other underwriting teams, as required, to ensure CFC can adhere to target turnaround times for our brokers and insureds
- Managing the underwriting central inboxes and logging new and renewal submissions on CFC’s internal underwriting system
- Preparing various activity reports and spreadsheets as directed
- Administering the department diary, including chasing outstanding items such as subjectivities and assisting with invoicing and setting up of new clients
- Answering incoming calls and fielding queries as appropriate
- Reviewing and amending transaction documents including non-disclosure and hold harmless letters
- Working with the existing support functions in CFC to ensure the timely progression of transactions from initial submission to policy binding (including the administrative aspects of this process); and
- General ad-hoc administrative duties as required
Skills
- Have you recently left or are due to leave higher education with outstanding results in a commercial subject like Law, Economics or Accounting?
- Do you now hope to start your professional career within M&A?
- You have commercial awareness and understanding of mergers and acquisitions and a background in Law, Economics or Accounting
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times
- Excellent level of attention to detail including accurate written and numeracy skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Word and particularly Excel
