You'll start as an Operator, learning to work the systems we build for clients—WordPress sites, CRM platforms, email automation, membership systems. You'll troubleshoot issues, prep for client meetings, and master the fundamentals.
And as you prove yourself, you'll become a Business Technologist:
• Technologist Operator (you work systems reliably and proactively)
• Implementer (you start building and improving systems)
• Technologist Implementer (you own implementation projects independently)
• Architect and beyond (you design systems and strategy)
This isn't a vague 'career path.' It's a progression system with real standards — you level up by proving it, not waiting for it.

The Role: Operator → Technologist Operator → Implementer
Phase 1: Start as an Operator
Base-level competency expected within the trial period
Your focus: Learn how the systems work by actually working them.
You'll:
• Execute WordPress updates, CRM configurations, email automation setups
• Troubleshoot client issues with team support
• Take meeting notes, manage agendas, follow up on action items
• Learn BTN's tools and processes (ClickUp, Slack, DailyBot)
• Shadow more experienced team members on client calls
You're not expected to know everything—you're expected to learn actively.
We teach you:
• How to think through technical problems systematically
• How to communicate clearly with clients and teammates
• How to manage your time and priorities without constant oversight
• How to take feedback and integrate it quickly
When you demonstrate reliability, proactive communication, and consistent growth.
Phase 2: Technologist Operator
Base-level competency expected within 30 days
Your focus: Own your work with minimal supervision.
You'll:
• Handle troubleshooting independently with confidence
• Prep and lead portions of client meetings
• Catch errors before they become problems
• Suggest small improvements to processes
• Support newer Operators as they learn
You're no longer just completing tasks—you're thinking ahead, anticipating needs, and reducing friction for the team.
When you show pattern recognition, initiative, and ownership of outcomes, you move into Implementer training.
Phase 3: Implementer
Base-level competency expected within 3 months
Your focus: Build systems, not just work them.
You'll:
• Design and build automation workflows from scratch
• Own full implementation projects for clients
• Make strategic decisions about how to solve complex problems
• Collaborate on system architecture and optimization
• Mentor Operators and newer team members
You've moved from "Can I do this?" to "How should this be built?"
When you demonstrate mastery, you become a Technologist Implementer.
We do see candidates get to Implementer and Technologist Implementer within the first 30-90 days. Pay is adjusted based on progression.
