Walmart Global Tech is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Staff Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of GenAI applications within our Transportation Applied AI team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and scaling our intelligence for Walmart transportation and ensuring a robust and scalable data-driven decision-making system.

About Team:

The Transportation Applied AI team is a highly motivated group of AI scientists and machine learning engineers dedicated to solving sophisticated and high-impact problems that power Walmart's transportation network end-to-end from vendors to stores. We leverage cutting-edge algorithms in operations research, deep reinforcement learning, economics (market design), and machine learning to tackle challenging problems like Inbound/Outbound routing, truck load optimization, freight pricing and matching, and workload dispatching.

What you'll do:

• Stay up to date with GenAI and its trends and adopt new solutions and best practices
• Collaborate with other applied scientists to bring cutting-edge GenAI research into application
• Lead the model development lifecycle from ideation to deployment, ensuring high standards of model performance and robustness.
• Design and deploy production-grade machine learning models using robust software engineering principles.
• Design scalable inference systems for real-time and batch predictions.
• Optimize model performance for latency, throughput, and resource efficiency.
• Build monitoring tools and processes to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Debug and resolve issues in a live production environment, ensuring minimal downtime.
