Description
Shee Atika Government Services is seeking a Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to join our team remotely. The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for leading the organization's growth strategy through federal expansion, market development, strategic hiring, and partnership building. This position will report to the CEO of Shee Atiká Inc. (SAI). The CGO works closely with Business Development (BD) teams to identify new opportunities, expand geographic presence, and support BD in identifying key personnel and strengthening the organization’s competitive position. The role includes responsibility for aligning Marketing & Communications (MarCom) and Compliance strategies with business development and sales efforts to drive visibility and revenue growth for strategic opportunities. The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for developing and executing the enterprise growth strategy to scale the organization from its current market position (100M+) to a diversified $200M+ enterprise within the next 5 years. The CGO leads strategic growth initiatives across federal contracting, commercial markets, and emerging sectors, including energy and critical infrastructure. The role oversees corporate strategy, supports mergers and acquisitions, builds strategic partnerships, drives market expansion, and leads enterprise capture strategy. The CGO will lead and oversee the enterprise growth organization, including business development, capture management, pipeline development, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute an enterprise growth strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure subsidiary goals are aligned with the long-term vision for GovCon business growth.
- Identify and prioritize new markets, industries, and partnership opportunities and align with internal organizational design.
- Lead go-to-market initiatives, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Analyze and develop strategies to optimize and utilize intellectual property (IP) to engage Government customers
- Leverage data, market intelligence, and forecasting to guide strategic decisions.
- Communicate strategy effectively throughout the organization.
2. Federal Government Market Expansion
- Identify strategic opportunities within federal agencies
- Build relationships with contracting officers, program managers, and industry partners.
- Track procurement trends and position the company for long-term federal expansion.
- Collaborate with internal teams and subsidiaries to align capabilities with federal acquisition requirements.
- Develop strategies to secure positions on key government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs), IDIQ vehicles, and Best-in-Class contract vehicles to expand access to federal opportunities.
- Identify resource allocations and risk mitigations as part of market expansion.
3. Talent Strategy & Key Federal Hiring
- Identify and recruit high-impact federal market professionals, including former agency leaders, program managers, BD specialists, and capture managers.
- Work with BD teams to build pipelines aligned with business Strategy and growth.
- Conduct capability mapping to determine spending priorities across government and federal agency mission functions and geographies.
4. Geographic Expansion & Market Development
- Conduct geographic market assessments to identify regions with strategic growth potential.
- Help identify and plan for new office sites, remote workforce hubs, or regional partnerships.
- Recommendations for local hiring, stakeholder engagement, and business development activities in new regions.
- Is there any plan to expand more into commercial, state/local, or tribal markets?
5. Revenue Growth, Business Development & MarCom Integration
- Partner with sales and BD teams to expand revenue across all verticals.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications (MarCom) team to develop and execute marketing strategies supporting strategic business development opportunities for SAI family of companies.
- Align branding, messaging, digital outreach, and proposal support with growth objectives.
- Collaborate with business development teams to position subsidiary companies for success in meeting SAI/SGS goals by leveraging partnerships and government customer networks.
- Lead strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and teaming agreements.
- Oversee pipeline development, capture strategies, and bid decisions.
- Track performance metrics and provide growth forecasts to leadership for new and existing business lines.
6. Bid & Proposal (B&P) Oversight for Federal Procurements
- Lead executive-level oversight of federal Bid & Proposal (B&P) activities to ensure alignment with growth strategy and federal market priorities.
- Participate in color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) as needed to evaluate capture strategy, solution alignment, compliance, price strategy, and competitive positioning.
- Ensure proposals reflect the organization’s capabilities, past performance, and value proposition in a compelling and FAR/DFARS-compliant manner. Also, includes OTA, SBIR, CSO, and Direct awards.
- Collaborate closely with capture managers, proposal managers, pricing teams, and subject matter experts to refine win themes, discriminators, and messaging.
- Assess federal solicitations (RFI, Sources Sought, Draft RFP, Final RFP) to guide bid/no bid decisions and ensure effective resource allocation.
- Track proposal performance metrics and integrate lessons learned into future capture and proposal development processes.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with operations to ensure organizational capacity meets growth needs.
- Partner with finance on budgeting, capital and investment planning, and ROI assessments.
- Guide Subsidiary, BD teams, and MarCom in brand positioning and stakeholder engagement.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements
Minimum Candidate Requirements
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree is preferred.
Candidate must have 15+ years of experience with the following:
- Senior leadership experience in growth strategy, BD, or federal contracting.
- Leading a business entity with annual revenue or budget authority of at least $250M
- Proven success expanding into federal markets and driving organizational growth.
- FAR/DFARS and government procurement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop high-value talent.
- Identifying geographic expansion opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Desired Qualifications (not required)
- Existing federal government relationships
- Experience with Alaska Native Corporations or tribal enterprises.
- Background in regulated industries or specialized federal programs.

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by SGS.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
