The SEO Service Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing strategic execution, operational performance, and client satisfaction of SEO campaigns. This role ensures delivery excellence by serving as the primary escalation point for client and internal issues while maintaining accountability across implementation teams.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical SEO knowledge with strong operational discipline and the ability to bring structure, urgency, and clarity to high-volume environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary escalation point for complex client and internal SEO issues across offshore-supported campaigns
- Manages and resolves client escalations with urgency, professionalism, and clear communication in timely and compliant manner
- Oversee and audits SEO campaign quality to ensure technical accuracy, best practice adherence, and process compliance
- Leads optimization projects that require advanced diagnosis beyond standard execution workflows
- Establishes, documents, and refines implementation instructions and SOPs to ensure consistent offshore delivery
- Owns quality assurance frameworks across metadata, technical fixes, content deployment, internal linking, and structured data implementation
- Oversees KPI collection and tracking across the portfolio ensuring performance data integrity and reporting accuracy in order to drive continuous improvement of SEO service execution.
- Analyzes KPI fluctuations and trends, determining and communicating clear root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions including but not limited to:
- Collaborates with managers to reinforce accountability and performance standards across offshore teams
- Develops and maintains training materials to improve implementation accuracy, efficiency, and quality
- Supports onboarding and upskilling initiatives for offshore SEO specialists
- Builds and maintains a continuous improvement roadmap for the SEO service model and execution processes
- Partners with client-facing teams to help navigate performance volatility, algorithm changes, and technical challenges
- Maintains documentation of audits, escalations, and systemic process improvements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 4+ years of experience in technical SEO, campaign management, or SEO operations
- Strong understanding of on-page, technical SEO, and multi-location or enterprise SEO environments
- Proficiency and expertise using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or similar
- Ability to interpret KPIs and clearly articulate performance drivers, declines, and anomalies
- Demonstrated experience handling client escalations and sensitive performance issues
- Strong process-oriented mindset with the ability to build scalable frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong quality control standards
- Ability to operate with urgency while maintaining composure under pressure
- Ownership mentality with accountability for portfolio-level outcomes
- Possess strong Project Management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing large portfolios (40+ accounts or multi-location programs)
- Background in operational process design or service quality management
- Experience building training programs or internal knowledge bases
- Exposure to franchise or enterprise SEO environments
- Experience presenting performance insights to senior internal stakeholders

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $57,000 and $105,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience.
