I. Job Overview The Senior Vice President of Product is one of the highest-ranking executive managers in the company's product portfolio, responsible for coordinating the strategic direction and implementation of multiple product lines. Unlike the Vice President of Product: The Vice President of Product is responsible for a single or partial product line. The Senior Vice President of Product is responsible for the entire product matrix or core product system. The Senior Vice President of Product is the strategic commander of the company's product portfolio. II. Main Responsibilities 1. Product Strategic Planning Develop the company's overall product strategy. Develop a 3-5 year product development roadmap. Set product priorities and resource allocation mechanisms. Ensure product strategy aligns with company strategy. 2. Multi-Product Line Management Coordinate multiple product teams. Coordinate resource and functional overlaps between products. Establish a product portfolio optimization mechanism. Determine whether to expand, merge, or discontinue a product. 3. Product Innovation and Growth Drive new product incubation. Identify market opportunities. Design experimental mechanisms (A/B testing/Minimum Viable Product). Support product commercialization and marketing. 4. Platform and Architecture Strategy Design product platform strategy. Drive the development of API systems and basic platform functions. Optimize the efficiency of technology and product collaboration. 5. Team Leadership and Organizational Development Manage Product Directors/Product Team Managers/VPs of Product. Design product organizational structure. Establish a performance evaluation system. Develop the next generation of product leaders. 6. Cross-Departmental Strategic Collaboration Work with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for technology planning. Work with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for market positioning. Work with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to build a product monetization model. Work with the sales team to develop a commercialization strategy. III. Qualification Requirements Basic Requirements 20+ years of product or technology management experience 10+ years of senior management experience Leading a large product team Core Competencies Excellent strategic planning ability Global product architecture mindset Multi-team management ability Commercialization and revenue-driven ability Technical understanding ability Advanced communication and decision-making skills Preferred Background Previously held a senior product management position at a large technology company Platform-level product management experience International product operations experience Participated in an IPO or high-growth expansion phase IV.
