As a Senior Investments Data Analyst, you will work closely with various members of the Investments team to provide analytical support across asset sectors and portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize analytical data applications and models for various sectors, including credit, structured finance, real estate, and alternative investments to drive informed investment decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of data and partner with sector heads and senior members of the Investments department to provide data sets and ad-hoc data preparation to solve day-to-day and strategic issues.
- Participate in research projects on asset sectors and portfolio management, contributing to the development of innovative investment strategies.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the manager and perform other duties as requested, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Streamline data extraction and reporting efficiency by utilizing macros/VBA/SQL, improving processes and reducing manual errors.
- Help identify data issues and maintain data integrity across the portfolio, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of investment data.
- Collaborate with sector heads to monitor 3rd party investment managers and data providers, fostering strong relationships and driving business outcomes.
- Prepare presentations and reporting packages for senior management, effectively communicating complex data insights and investment recommendations.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in fixed income, with a strong background in financial or quantitative analysis.
- Substantial experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin and Power BI is preferred, with a strong understanding of data visualization and business intelligence tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information succinctly and accurately.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, problem-solving, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
- A self-starter with intellectual curiosity, embracing a steep learning curve, and seeking out responsibility.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment, with a strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to meet stringent time constraints, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
A BS/BA in computer science, data science, mathematics, or finance is preferred, with a strong academic background in a relevant field. Additionally, knowledge and interest in current events/trends impacting the industry and markets are highly valued.

- A competitive base salary ranging from $90,000 - $120,000, plus performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
