About the Role: Senior Information Architect
The Information Designing group within Disney's DDSI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Architect to join their team on a full-time, remote basis. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with Studios and Project Technology colleagues on various activities, including data requirements gathering, data validation, and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the company's data architecture and ensuring seamless data integration across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and validate data quality
- Develop and implement database schema, tables, and views to support business intelligence and analytics
- Build and maintain batch processes using Apache Airflow and other technologies
- Work with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS S3
- Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience with SQL and data modeling
- 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, ideally AWS and S3
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, GitLab, Apache Airflow, and relational databases
- 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
- Experience with Docker, GitLab/GitHub, and big data technologies, such as Snowflake and Databricks
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Apache Airflow, GitLab, Snowflake, and Scene
- A graduate degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing domain
