The Opportunity
Medely is hiring an analytically minded individual who can intelligently use data to answer high-impact product and business questions as a Senior Data Analyst. The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with our Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Recruiting teams to create analyses and data stories that help drive and direct our fast-growing business. Our ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is motivated by challenging problems, and is naturally curious.
What you’ll be doing
Work closely with teams to provide data-driven insights that will help drive a significant increase in core business KPIs (growth, revenue, engagement)
Create compelling internal dashboards to monitor the health of the product and business KPIs (growth, revenue, engagement).
Present and articulate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Deliver ad-hoc analyses and reports to support business needs, investigate, triage, and resolve metrics-based issues without heavy guidance.
Review current processes and spot potential opportunities for improvement via reporting or automation.
Look for opportunities to automate insights through alerting and anomaly detection.
Identify areas short of new data and the refinement of existing data sources.
About You
3-5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, statistics, data science, consulting, or other relevant field
Strong understanding of databases and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Metabase etc.)
Advanced SQL skills and ability to write well-optimized queries
Ability to organize and present complex data to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data
Ability to analyze data and condense data to tell a persuasive story
Proven ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
Self-starter, with ability to drive change through influence, and collaborate effectively with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
A collaborative mindset, and eagerness to partner with stakeholders across a rapidly growing organization
