The Senior Administrative Assistant plays a key role in maintaining efficient operations, coordinating workflows, and ensuring seamless communication within their assigned departments. Responsibilities include managing office tasks, preparing reports, handling inquiries, and assisting with the Department's projects that support City initiatives. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and leadership will be essential in successfully fulfilling this role.   MINIMUM AND DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; and four (4) years of increasingly responsible administrative support or secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Prior government or local municipality experience for a public utility is desirable. ABOUT THE MORENO VALLEY ELECTRIC UTILITY DIVISION  The Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) manages the operation, maintenance, and business planning of the City’s electric utility. The City began serving new customers in February 2004, providing safe, reliable, and economical public electric service with a focus on innovative customer solutions, infrastructure enhancement, community development, and environmentally responsible resource management. THE SELECTION PROCESS Applicants possessing the MOST DESIRABLE qualifications at each level, based on a screening of required application materials, including the completed Supplemental Questionnaire, will be invited to continue in the selection process.
