NovoPayment is a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform powering digital payment infrastructure across Latin America. We enable banks, fintechs, and enterprises to launch and scale financial products through our API-driven platform.
Role Summary
The Scrum Master facilitates agile delivery across engineering and product teams, removing impediments, coaching squads on Scrum practices, and driving continuous improvement. This role reports to the COO and works closely with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders across multiple countries.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Shield the team from external distractions and scope creep mid-sprint
- Track and remove blockers, escalating when needed to Engineering or Product leadership
- Maintain and improve team velocity, sprint predictability, and delivery cadence
- Coach team members on agile principles — not just process, but mindset
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog grooming is consistent and priorities are clear
- Coordinate cross-squad dependencies, particularly across Spend/Nuvy, Tebca migration, and platform workstreams
- Surface risks early — technical debt, resource gaps, or unclear requirements — before they become sprint failures
- Own and improve Jira workflows, dashboards, and reporting for transparency to leadership
- Support release planning and alignment with quarterly OKRs in Perdoo
Requirements
- 3+ years as Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software/fintech environment
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent (PSM, SAFe preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Jira (board configuration, JQL, reporting)
- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-product environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to hold teams accountable without authority — influence over hierarchy
Nice to Have
- Experience in payments, BaaS, or regulated fintech
- Familiarity with Perdoo or similar OKR tools
- Background in engineering or technical product management
