Support Sales Growth Where It Matters Most – In the Field This role is designed for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and driving occupancy across multiple hotel markets through hands-on execution. - Must reside within a reasonable driving distance to a major airport - Up to 80% travel supporting hotels across multiple states - $65,000 – $75,000 per year - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k), Paid Time Off JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Sales Support Manager   Reports to: Regional Director of Sales  FLSA Status: Exempt   Location: Remote (with significant travel required)   Direct Reports: None  Department: Property Operations    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   The Sales Support Manager provides field-based sales support to hotels within an assigned region, particularly in markets where geographic coverage, hotel transitions, or performance needs require additional sales activity.  This role focuses on outside sales execution, including in-market prospecting, client visits, and lead follow-up to help hotels generate new business and improve occupancy.  The Sales Support Manager partners closely with the Regional Director of Sales, General Managers, Area Managers, and hotel teams to support local sales initiatives and convert qualified opportunities into revenue.  This position acts as a flexible field sales resource, supporting multiple hotels as needed, and does not carry regional sales leadership responsibility.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Sales Prospecting and Business Development  - Identify market trends and business opportunities through in-market prospecting, including cold calls, client visits, networking, and community engagement.  - Identify and develop new extended-stay business opportunities within local markets.  - Build relationships with corporate clients, relocation agencies, construction companies, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and other long-stay demand generators.  - Lead Follow-Up and Conversion  - Follow up on qualified leads generated through Sales Lead Tracker (SLT), Lot Drives, and other internal sources. - Assist hotel teams with converting leads into bookings through client engagement, presentations, and site visits.  - Support hotels in maintaining strong relationships with key local accounts.  In-Market Sales Support - Lead and assist with sales blitzes, targeted prospecting campaigns, and market outreach initiatives. - Lead and assist with outside sales calls, site visits, and client presentations. - Provide additional sales coverage for new hotel openings, transitioning properties, or hotels experiencing occupancy challenges. - Conduct site tours and client meetings on behalf of supported hotels when needed.  Collaboration - Partner with the Regional Director of Sales to prioritize markets and hotels requiring additional sales focus. - Work closely with General Managers and hotel teams to support property-level sales execution. - Coordinate with Revenue Management and Operations leadership to support occupancy and revenue goals. Sales Activity Documentation - Maintain accurate documentation of prospecting activity, client interactions, and account development within company systems. - Provide updates to the Regional Director of Sales regarding market observations, opportunities, and sales progress.  Other Duties - Participate in company sales initiatives, meetings, and training programs as required.  - Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.  PERFORMANCE FACTORS:  - Demonstrate consistent prospecting activity and business development within assigned markets. - Contribute to new account generation and revenue opportunities for supported hotels. - Effectively follow up on qualified leads and assist hotel teams in converting opportunities into bookings. - Maintain accurate documentation of sales activity and account development within company systems. - Collaborate effectively with hotel leadership and the Regional Director of Sales to support revenue goals.  QUALIFICATIONS: - 2–3 years of sales experience preferred; hospitality sales experience is a plus but not required. - Experience in customer-facing sales roles such as hospitality, business development, or territory sales. - Proven track record in helping organizations achieve sales targets.  - Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions. - Good organization, record keeping, and time management skills. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in field-based environments. - High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and CRM/PMS systems preferred.  REQUIREMENTS:  - Frequent travel required, up to 80% of the year, including extended stays at hotel locations and unanticipated travel with minimal notice.  - Work schedule may vary based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and Real ID-compliant identification. - Must be able to travel by car and commercial air. - Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Prolonged periods of computer use and phone-based communication while sitting or standing. - Some lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required during travel or sales activities. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting outside sales visits, client meetings, and property tours. - Must be able to access and navigate organizational systems, sales platforms, and property management systems (PMS) used by supported hotels. - Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for guest and client-facing environments. - Must be able to pass a background and MVR check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and company policy. - This position requires regular use of a personal vehicle to perform job-related duties.  The employee must maintain a personal vehicle in safe operating condition and carry state-required insurance coverage. - The company will provide mileage reimbursement at the then-current IRS standard rate for business-related travel only.  Mileage reimbursement will be issued based on complete and accurate documentation provided by the employee detailing the date, purpose, and miles driven for each business trip. Personal travel and commuting miles are not eligible for reimbursement.  This position has been posted in multiple locations to attract qualified candidates across the region.
