[Remote] SEO & Generative Search Manager

The SEO & Generative Search Manager will lead the SEO and generative search strategy, focusing on enhancing visibility and driving business impact through innovative AI-driven practices. Responsibilities • Own and operationalize SMG’s end-to-end SEO and GEO strategy, increasing visibility across AI-driven discovery platforms and driving measurable pipeline impact • Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, performance data, and strategic objectives • Create and document scalable playbooks that embed AI-driven search best practices across Marketing • Coach cross-functional partners on applying search insights and AI tools within their workflows • Establish repeatable experimentation frameworks that position search as a continuous learning engine for the business • Remain current on evolving search trends, algorithm updates, and AI-driven discovery environments • Design and implement AI-enabled workflows, including prompt libraries, automation scripts, programmatic testing, and structured data processes • Run structured, hypothesis-driven experimentation cycles to continuously improve SEO and GEO performance • Translate emerging AI capabilities into scalable, repeatable systems • Continuously test and refine AI-assisted optimization strategies to improve discoverability and performance • Own keyword strategy, search intent mapping, and on-page optimization across solution, industry, and thought leadership content • Partner with Marketing and Product Marketing to inform new content creation and re-optimization based on performance data and opportunity gaps • Monitor and analyze content performance; identify opportunities to refresh, consolidate, re-optimize, or prune underperforming assets • Implement and refine internal linking strategies, metadata enhancements, and structured data/schema markup • Conduct regular technical audits to evaluate crawlability, indexing, and overall site health • Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to ensure proper tracking, tagging, and attribution of organic performance • Develop dashboards that connect organic visibility and traffic to MQLs, SQLs, and revenue impact • Conduct quality assurance on site updates to maintain SEO best practices and prevent regression Skills • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required • 3-5 years SEO experience with a demonstrated record of driving measurable organic growth, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment • Advanced knowledge of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawl optimization, indexing, and structured data implementation • Advanced knowledge of SEO and analytics platforms such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Google Search Console • Advanced knowledge of data analysis and performance reporting, with the ability to connect SEO performance to business outcomes • Demonstrated experience developing and executing generative search optimization and AI-driven search visibility strategies • Demonstrated experience designing and iterating AI-enabled workflows that improve quality, efficiency, or strategic insight • Demonstrated experience running structured test-and-learn cycles to continuously improve performance • Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations teams • Familiarity with automation, scripting, or programmatic SEO approaches • Experience driving organic growth within growth-stage SaaS organizations • Background in experience management and/or customer experience Benefits • Work hard, have fun environment – We work hard to deliver a fulfilling, exciting workplace environment for each SMG employee. • Value-driven culture where we connect, collaborate & co-create. • Remote-first company (fully remote). • Unlimited PTO. • Tech provided.
