Our Scoring Service is an extension of our composition curriculum for Grades 6-12, providing students with detailed feedback and guidance to help them become better writers.

Job Overview: As an Online English Language Arts Scorer, you'll provide critical yet encouraging feedback on student compositions, evaluating their work without personal biases and focusing on the quality of writing and adherence to assignment criteria. You'll work with a assigned number of students (100-150) and receive a competitive pay rate of $73 per student, regardless of the quantity of work submitted.

Responsibilities:

• Watch a virtual training session in August before the scoring year begins
• Provide detailed feedback to academic compositions through an online platform (September-June)
• Respond to questions from students and parents
• Check for EIW communications daily
• Score student compositions within a set timeframe, using a provided rubric

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in English or Education with middle or high school English-Language Arts emphasis/certification
• Advanced understanding of English language mechanics
• Excellent written communication skills
• Basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer and internet connection
• Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently
• Middle school or high school English-Language Arts teaching experience strongly preferred
