Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is one of the top law firms in the U.S. seeking a Client Program Specialist - Patent to support patent client teams. The role involves overseeing projects, managing client communications, and ensuring compliance with billing guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee status of patent projects using project management tools
- Manage a high volume of client communication, and determine appropriate action or response
- Manage a high volume of client billing, with attention to client and internal billing guidelines
- Report new actions, filings, and other patent activity to client
- Liaison with clients to provide information by telephone, email, and using client specific software
- Clear subject matter conflicts, and monitor client specific deadlines
- Coordinate scheduling of disclosure meetings and review meetings
- Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed or requested
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in an office setting, preferably in the legal or professional services industry
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Prior experience with project management software and/or docketing software
- Self-starter with a high degree of attention to detail and sensitivity to confidential materials
- Ability to accurately type 50+ wpm
- Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
- Ability to multitask and balance competing projects and deadlines
- A highly professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, service focused environment and to handle stressful situations in calm, composed manner
- A high school diploma or GED certification
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with all levels of a professional services organization, including interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service, analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Previous experience in a law firm or professional services organization, supporting a multi-office environment
