The role involves engaging with advanced language models to improve their understanding of Arabic grammar and semantics, while documenting challenges and suggesting enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Converse with the model on language scenarios
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
Skills
- Expertise in Arabic (Emirati) language
- Strong understanding of Arabic grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics
- Ability to challenge advanced language models on topics like dialectal variation, formal versus colloquial language, Arabic script, translation accuracy, semantic ambiguity, and cultural context
- Experience in documenting failure modes to improve model reasoning
- Degree in Arabic language, linguistics, or a closely related field
- Clear, metacognitive communication skills
- Peer-reviewed publications
- Translation experience
- Hands-on linguistic analysis projects
