Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and engaging Physics Tutor to join our team at Stark State College in North Canton, OH. As a Physics Tutor, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting students through the subjects of physics and astronomy, working closely with our faculty to provide exceptional learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group tutoring support to students in physics and astronomy, both in-person and online
- Assist students with lecture and lab materials, study methods, and technology needed to complete course-related work
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success
- Collaborate with faculty members to ensure seamless support for students
- Greet students and visitors, and provide general information about college services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related field
- Coursework in calculus-based physics or astronomy preferred
- Microsoft Office Application skills and excellent communication skills
- Comfort with technology usage and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
