Position Summary Reporting to the Pharmacy Supervisor and Pharmacy Manager, you will provide exemplary service to a diverse set of stakeholders—including product manufacturers, physicians, patients, and internal teams. You will be responsible for the intake, logging, and triage of non‑dispensing pharmacy prescriptions, supporting pharmacists as needed, and ensuring compliance with all program policies and pharmacy regulations. Key Responsibilities - Prescription Intake & Data Logging: Receive and enter prescription information for multiple specialty therapy programs into the appropriate pharmacy database. - Triaging & Distribution: Accurately route each prescription to the correct dispensing pharmacy or Reimbursement Specialist for further processing. - Eligibility Verification: Conduct eligibility checks and test claims to confirm patient coverage before prescription fulfillment. - Pharmacist Support: Assist pharmacists with prescription processing tasks, answer queries, and relay critical information. - Inbound Call Management: Handle a moderate volume of inbound calls, providing clear and courteous assistance to patients and providers. - Collaboration: Work closely with fellow Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacists, and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth workflow continuity. - Compliance & Quality Assurance: Adhere to all standard operating procedures, regulatory guidelines, and data‑security policies. - Problem Solving: Analyze moderate‑scope data issues, applying judgment within SOPs to determine appropriate corrective actions. - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data entry processes, reduce errors, and improve overall efficiency. - Other Duties: Perform additional related tasks as assigned by supervisors. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should bring the following experience and credentials: - Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a specialty or non‑dispensing pharmacy environment. - Licensure: Valid Pharmacy Technician license; a national license is preferred.
