Part Time Social Media & Marketing Specialist

Lone Star Training Center is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Specialist to support daily content creation, engagement across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok and complete marketing and outreach initiatives. Must be available Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Note:  Requires residency in the Dallas Fort Worth area or nearby cities and availability during one of the listed times above. Out of town or out of state applicants will not be considered. This is an hourly position and we are not accepting contracts or proposals from individuals or companies. Key Responsibilities: Create and post engaging content on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok Assist with promoting programs, certifications, and events Create and manage databases Monitor comments, messages, and basic engagement Identify trends and suggest content ideas Maintain a consistent posting schedule Present certification programs to school districts and business for student enrollment opportunities Identify and engage businesses to offer employee upskilling through certification programs Conduct virtual presentations to promote programs Generate follow up on inquiries, and close enrollments Basic Requirements: Access to work in Microsoft Word and Excel Cell phone to make outgoing business calls using software provided by Lone Star Must have active Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts with posted content Comfortable using software for photo and video creation Basic understanding of social media platforms and trends Reliable and able to work during scheduled hours Interest in marketing, business, or media Experience creating short-form video content Familiarity with editing apps (CapCut, Canva, etc.) Transportation to travel to career and educational events on occasion This position offers a competitive hourly rate and commission.
