About Reach Athletics
Reach Athletics is a youth basketball and leadership development program serving the DMV area. Our mission is to develop disciplined, confident, and skilled student-athletes both on and off the court. We provide team training, AAU competition, skills development, and community engagement opportunities.
Position Overview
Reach Athletics is seeking a creative, reliable, and sports-minded Part-Time Content Creator Intern to capture and showcase our athletes, events, and programs across digital platforms. The intern will help create engaging content that highlights player development, team culture, leadership, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
· Capture high-quality photos and videos during practices, games, tournaments, and events
· Create short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, highlight clips)
· Edit videos for social media, promotional campaigns, and athlete exposure
· Design graphics and promotional materials using Canva
· Assist in filming athlete interviews and behind-the-scenes content
· Help manage and schedule posts across platforms
· Develop weekly content ideas aligned with team events and tournaments
· Support promotional campaigns for tryouts, camps, and fundraisers
· Ensure all content aligns with Reach Athletics’ brand voice and mission
Required Skills
· Strong video creation and editing skills
· Working knowledge of Canva for graphics and promotional materials
· Understanding of social media platforms and current trends
· Ability to capture quality sports footage
· Strong attention to detail and creativity
· Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
· Interest in sports marketing, communications, or media
· Experience filming live sports
· Familiarity with basketball culture and AAU environments
· Reliable transportation to Manassas and Woodbridge locations
Compensation
Paid internship (hourly or stipend – based on experience) OR College credit (if applicable)
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
