Position Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic, detail‑oriented individuals to join the arenaflex College of Agricultural Sciences’ call‑center team that supports the statewide response to the invasive Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) quarantine. As a Part‑Time Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for citizens, growers, and partner agencies reporting sightings or requesting guidance. This role blends high‑volume call handling, resource navigation, and collaborative problem‑solving to protect agriculture, commerce, and natural resources across the Commonwealth.
Key Responsibilities

- Information Routing: Assess each inquiry, deliver appropriate guidance, and refer complex or specialized requests to the relevant internal departments, extension educators, or external partners such as the Department of Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture.
- Data Capture & Reporting: Log all interactions in the arenaflex reporting system, ensuring that data on sightings, concerns, and trends are accurately recorded for analysis and decision‑making.
- Resource Promotion: Direct callers to fact sheets, LearnNow videos, short courses, and other educational tools; assist users in navigating the arenaflex online portal to locate the most relevant resources.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate unusual reports, coordinate follow‑up actions, and collaborate with subject‑matter experts to resolve stakeholder issues effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a professional, courteous call center environment; adhere to scripts, compliance standards, and best‑practice communication guidelines.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in training sessions to build foundational knowledge of Spotted Lanternfly biology, lifecycle, and control methods.
- Team Collaboration: Support the SLF Call Center Manager and fellow agents, sharing insights and suggestions to improve service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

- Basic familiarity with entomology, invasive species management, or agricultural extension services is desired but not mandatory.
- Eligibility to undergo a background check consistent with arenaflex employment policies.
