I’m looking for a mobile app developer to help review and potentially build an MVP for an offline-first mobile application.
The app is designed to help parents document and organize child-welfare or custody cases. Core functionality includes case management, goals and tasks, visit logs, barriers, timelines, document storage, attachments, and court-ready exports.
I already have a detailed SQLite database schema prepared. The app is intentionally:
offline-first
local-storage based (SQLite)
no user accounts or cloud backend for MVP
At this stage, I’m looking for a developer who can:
Review the existing schema and confirm it’s sound for an MVP
Recommend a mobile tech stack (React Native, Flutter, etc.)
Help scope the MVP realistically
Potentially build the MVP if we’re a good fit
I’m not looking to redesign the data model unless there’s a clear technical reason.
What I’m looking for
Experience building mobile apps (iOS/Android)
Experience with SQLite or offline-first apps
Clear communication and ability to explain tradeoffs plainly
Comfort working independently and collaboratively
Solo developers are welcome. Agencies are fine if the work is done by a single primary developer.
Project scope
MVP build (scope to be finalized together)
Paid project
Open to hourly or fixed-price proposals after initial review
To apply, please include
A brief description of your mobile app experience
Any experience with offline-first or SQLite-based apps
Your recommended tech stack for this project and why
Any initial thoughts or questions after reading this post
I value clarity, practicality, and respect for prior planning. If that sounds like you, I’d love to talk.
