Labor and Employment Associate Attorney (Remote)

JOB SUMMARY: We are a rapidly growing, tech-forward and successful Plaintiff-Side Labor and Employment Litigation Firm based in Los Angeles, California, seeking a skilled, detail-oriented and aggressive Associate Attorney to work in both our pre-litigation and litigation departments. This is a fully-remote position. With the help of two experienced litigation paralegals and several other support staff members made accessible to you, you will be trusted to handle labor and employment cases, including single-plaintiff FEHA/CFRA and wrongful termination matters as well as single-plaintiff wage and hour cases from inception to resolution. (PAGA and class action experience is a plus.) We are seeking a candidate who is interested in building a long-term professional relationship. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Licensure: Licensed to practice law in California; • Relevant Experience: At least three (3) years of dedicated labor and employment litigation experience (FEHA, wrongful termination, and wage and hour); • Detail-Oriented: You are diligent and carefully proofread your work; • Writing and Analysis: Strong writing and analytical skills, with experience drafting settlement demand letters, complaints, arbitration demands, mediation briefs, motions (including Motions to Compel and MSJs), oppositions, and discovery requests/responses; • Litigation Skills: Proven ability to draft pleadings, motions and briefs, take and defend depositions, handle court appearances, perform research, and prepare for and attend trials/arbitration hearings; • Settlement Negotiation Experience: You have experience working with defense counsel to negotiate settlements; • Sociable: You can relate to clients and defense counsel, and progress cases efficiently; and • Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using Word, Adobe, Clio, Google Drive, Gmail, LexisNexis, and various legal AI tools. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Fluent in Spanish • Class and PAGA Experience • Big Law Experience • Trial and Arbitration Hearing Experience PAY: The base salary for this role is $150,000 per year, plus other benefits explained below.
