They are seeking a Junior User Experience (UX) Designer to contribute to designing user-centered digital experiences that support millions of members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, design, and enhance user experiences across CalPERS’ digital platforms
- Help translate complex requirements into thoughtful design solutions
- Contribute to usability improvements
- Play a key role in delivering innovative, user-focused applications that improve how people interact with essential services
Skills
- Experience translating concepts into user-centered design deliverables
- Examples of creating user flows, wireframes, or prototypes
- Experience improving usability, navigation, or overall user interaction for web or digital applications
- Approach to applying human-centered design throughout the product lifecycle
- Specific examples of user research, usability testing, or UX validation conducted
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, business analysts, or stakeholders) to deliver a UX solution
- Ability to ensure final design meets user needs, accessibility standards, and business goals
- All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification
- Transcripts if using education to meet MQs
- Evaluation of degree from outside of the United States to determine US equivalency if applicable
- Ability to pass an examination to establish list eligibility prior to a final offer of employment
