The California Department of Justice is seeking a Java and PL/SQL Developer to join their Application Development Bureau, playing a vital role in shaping criminal justice technology. The incumbent will design, implement, and maintain statewide information systems that support law enforcement efforts, while also participating in maintenance and project activities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain statewide information systems that support law enforcement efforts
- Perform maintenance and support at the ITA level for California Justice Information Systems and Consolidated Firearms Information Systems applications
- Participate in new development efforts on these systems as needed
- Provide a good working knowledge of systems design, program specifications, and programming
- Combine less complex programming duties with systems analysis responsibilities

- Experience performing maintenance and support at the ITA level for California Justice Information Systems and Consolidated Firearms Information Systems applications

- Education must include at least 15 semester units (or 22.5 quarter units) of information technology or closely related course work
- Completed one year of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Associate, or completed an additional 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college or university for Range B
- Completed three years of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Associate, or received a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university for Range C
- Completed five years of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Associate for Range D
