This senior-level position is responsible for the architectural design and development of scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions that support the healthcare system's diverse technological needs. The architect will lead efforts to design high-availability networks, optimize wireless management in complex environments, and implement advanced routing and switching protocols. This role requires a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare IT systems, including clinical applications, population health management, revenue cycle systems, and both on-premise and cloud infrastructure. The architect will collaborate closely with executive leadership, IT teams, and business stakeholders to align network architecture with organizational goals, industry standards, and security best practices. The position demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to guide large-scale projects and ensure seamless integration across multiple platforms and systems. • *Qualifications** • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. • Required: 18+ years of experience in IT architecture and design, with a focus on enterprise-wide solutions, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. • Exceptional understanding of healthcare data, terminologies, and the ability to design solutions that meet complex business and technical needs. • Deep problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, capable of addressing complex interface issues at a systemic level. • Advanced leadership and mentoring skills to support junior team members and foster professional growth. • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills. • Strong business acumen with experience in financial modeling and organizational planning. • Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, particularly at the executive and board levels. • Relevant certifications or licensure are not mandatory but are considered a plus. • *Responsibilities** • Design, develop, and implement scalable, redundant, and high-availability network architectures aligned with organizational objectives. • Lead the development of network security strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices to safeguard healthcare data and infrastructure. • Manage and optimize wireless network environments, including WLAN design, controller management, and high-density deployment scenarios across multiple floors. • Oversee enterprise network segmentation, private connectivity solutions, and network redundancy designs to ensure continuous operation and disaster recovery preparedness. • Implement and manage advanced routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, and develop solutions for enterprise network segmentation and traffic management. • Lead automation initiatives through scripting and configuration management to enhance network efficiency and reduce manual intervention. • Utilize monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Elastic, and NetScout for deep packet inspection, traffic analysis, and proactive network health management. • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure network infrastructure supports healthcare applications, cloud integrations, and administrative systems effectively. • Stay informed about emerging healthcare IT trends, network technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve network architecture and security posture. • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to IT staff, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. • Engage with executive leadership to develop and communicate the organization’s technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. • *Benefits** CoxHealth offers a comprehensiv
