INDUSTRIAL MARKET MANAGER
STATUS: Full Time, Salary Exempt
SCHEDULE: Approximately 45 to 55 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as required for travel

LOCATION: Fully remote within the United States
POSITION SUMMARY
The Industrial Market Manager is a growth focused leadership role responsible for building, developing, and expanding the company’s industrial water and wastewater business nationwide.
This position blends strategic market development with hands on management of an independent sales representative network to drive revenue and strengthen the company’s presence across key industrial sectors.
This role requires a self-motivated and disciplined professional who can work independently, travel strategically, and collaborate closely with internal teams to support customers and convert opportunities into profitable growth.
The role has two primary objectives. The first is to grow industrial market revenue by developing the industrial segment from early-stage growth into a structured, revenue producing business unit. The second is to recruit, develop, and manage an independent sales representative network that maximizes market coverage and sales effectiveness.
The ideal candidate brings direct experience selling into industrial water and wastewater markets, has deep knowledge of one or more industrial segments, and has a proven track record of territory growth and sales network management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
INDUSTRIAL MARKET GROWTH AND STRATEGY
Develop and execute a nationwide growth strategy for assigned industrial sectors.
Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities in industrial wastewater and process water markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with plant engineers, operations leaders, corporate engineering teams, consultants, and contractors.
Review and interpret requests for proposals, specifications, mechanical drawings, and contract documents.
Work closely with internal teams to prepare accurate proposals, budgets, and project estimates.
Maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and territory forecast.
Gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback to support business strategy.
INDEPENDENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE NETWORK DEVELOPMENT
Recruit, evaluate, and develop high performing independent sales representatives in strategic regions.
Establish clear territory goals and performance expectations.
Provide ongoing product training, technical support, and sales strategy guidance.
Travel with representatives as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
Ensure representatives are well positioned within industrial markets and actively pursuing opportunities.
TRAVEL AND FIELD ENGAGEMENT
Travel up to approximately 60 to 75 percent depending on market needs and project activity.
Conduct in person meetings, plant visits, and presentations with customers, engineering firms, and contractors.
Represent the company professionally at industrial facilities, trade shows, and industry events.
Participate in required corporate meetings, training sessions, and virtual collaboration.
INTERNAL COLLABORATION AND ADMINISTRATION
Maintain accurate customer relationship management records, including opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions.
Provide timely sales reports, field updates, and budget documentation.
Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, operations, marketing, and leadership teams.
Support internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and projects are successfully executed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
EXPERIENCE
At least five years of experience selling into industrial water and wastewater markets.
Experience in one or more of the following sectors is required: pulp and paper, food and beverage, power including oil and gas or mining, or pharmaceutical.
Demonstrated experience presenting to engineers, consultants, contractors, and plant stakeholders.
Proven success managing territory forecasts, budgets, and strategic growth plans.
Experience building or managing an independent sales representative network.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and customer relationship management systems.
Strong proposal writing and technical communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a fully remote role within the United States with frequent travel to industrial facilities such as wastewater plants, mills, refineries, power plants, and manufacturing sites.
The role requires comfort working in industrial environments that may include noise, odors, variable temperatures, and uneven terrain.
A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record are required.
The role requires the ability to sit, stand, travel, and navigate industrial sites for extended periods.
